Jeffersonville, IN based Spyker and parent Brinly-Hardy Co. announced the release of their new, ERGO-PRO™ Series Spreaders. Designed exclusively for landscape and green industry professionals, The ERGO-PRO™ Series is offered in 50#, 80# and 100# spreader capacities incorporating industry-leading ergonomics and bridge-free material flow with Spyker’s well-known accuracy and durability. Spyker will be showcasing their new product line at the GIE show in October of this year.
Since their first rotary spreader in 1868, followed by the introduction of the patented Accuway™ calibration system, Spyker takes another step forward to give professionals and their clients better and more economic results. The ERGO-PRO™ Series showcases an innovative new hopper geometry that virtually eliminates bridging, allowing all materials to flow to empty without shaking or bouncing required. Fewer stops are required with a fill-to-level resting angle and a stability-improved support stand that fits rear platform carriers. The triangulated double handle is both bolted and welded to reduce the force required on turns (no flex), and captures a spring-loaded open-close lever with positive shut off for zero material waste. With testing and input from ergonomics PhDs, the handle adjusts to fit operators from 5’3” tall to 6’6” tall – minimizing fatigue and reducing workers comp claims – available exclusively on Spyker’s ERGO-PRO™ series of broadcast spreaders. Additional durability is achieved through Spyker’s lifetime warranty all-metal gears with zerk fittings and the largest, impact-tested welded frame in the industry.
To answer a need by pros who tackle winter jobs, Spyker has also released the Spyker ICE, a 100# stainless steel frame spreader specifically designed for winter use with ice melt and rock salt – including bulk rock salt. Characterized by a stainless-steel carving blade, and high-visibility frame features, the ERGO-PRO™ Series Spyker ICE promises to be the only spreader professionals will want for their winter jobs.
