Description
The Spyker Pro-Series S60-12020 Commercial Broadcast Spreader is the right walk-behind spreader for the job. Its large 120 lb. poly hopper lets you cover more ground between fill-ups so you can get more done in less time. Affectionately called the “Mulch-N-More” because of its extra-large single port opening and works with larger materials such as pin mulch and rock salt. We also offer a Top Dressing Kit to protect the gears from the abrasive effects of fine sand.
The design of the S60-12020 enables it to project better spread coverage while maintaining perfect equilibrium using the on-the-fly AccuWay™ adjustment cable. The AccuWay™ adjusts the material flow forward or backward, which determines how quickly the granules launch off of the spinner/fan. This allows the operator to maintain a perfectly balanced spread pattern regardless of the chosen material.

The large gate on this spreader is perfect for top dressing with granulated chicken compost.. If you’re looking for a push spreader to put down heavily granular applications this is it !

As a beginner landscaper I started with a Box Store spreader and after a lot of usage there was no way it would hold up, but I bought a Spyker and this is no doubt the best on the market. After going through 3 box store spreaders this one will be working for years to come!

After throwing several other cheap spreaders in the trash, I bought this 120# Spyker for my home yard as well as a HS Baseball field I help with. This thing was money well spent! Large capacity, great pattern, and solid construction.

I have the S60 120# Mulch & More and it’s basically the Cadillac of push spreaders, very nice. Greased axle bearings, the gear box is water tight and greased. The pneumatic tires are fairly wide for when you run a full load. I’ve run full loads hundreds of times, though you will break a sweat with 100+ pounds with any spreader, Newton’s laws. The feed mouth is huge, will allow you to spread mulch, or fine pellets. I’ve never tried sand, though that’s supposedly possible too. You can, obviously, set the drop rate, which i found reliable and consistent from run-to-run. Drop rate returns reliably to your rate when reset to desired value. It’s made of all stainless steel tubing, but, of course, the bearings themselves are carbon steel, so they should be kept greased if you’re going to leave it laying around outside in the rain. Mine got rusty and goobed up, so I replaced a couple of bearings for like $5, I don’t exactly recall. There are two bearings on each side, total four. The spread pattern can be adjusted depending upon the material by using the hand cable and sliding the big mouth thingy backward or forward. The setting with the cable is hit or miss, there are no detents to return to a desired position, so you free hand the spread pattern. Most people I understand, don’t change this, but I use it for all size material. It would be nice if it had set points. This unit is much better than The Anderson’s 2000SR. The deflector shield is curved on the Spyker so it shoots the pellets back out in a spread pattern, whereas the Andersons drops them down giving you a stripe and the occasional pellet to the face. You have to pay extra for the Mulch & More deflector, and pay extra for the hopper cover if you spread in rain, so by the time your done, you pay more for the Spyker than The Anderson’s, but the Spyker is unquestionably the highest quality spreader you can buy and will last a lifetime, even with monkeys beating on it all day, every day.

The BEST spreader hands down!! II have owned mine for over 5 years now and never had any issues with it. Quality construction that will last a lifetime! Highly recommend!!

I’ve owned three other brands of rotary spreaders before I finally bought a Spyker. Each performed poorly with erratic spread patterns and fell apart after only a few years. The quality, functionality and features of my Spyker are far superior. Gets a lot of use…still going strong after nearly a decade.

I absolutely love my spreader! Makes spreading applications a breeze. I have no doubt that this spreader will last me a long time to come.

Great solid Spreader. Right up there in the top tier.
Greg Burghall –
Great quality spreader. I had a stainless steel Spyker last me 10 years, I hope this new model does the same. I love the new improvements, including the full bar at the bottom instead of feet. The only drawback I feel is the higher center of gravity, it takes some getting used to when it is fully loaded.
