What a fantastic spreader! We balked over the price but decided to try one. Now this is the only one we buy. Best spreader we’ve found yet. Other spreaders only lasted 1 or 2 seasons, after 4 seasons, these are still going strong, they look like a 10 year min spreader.

Product is pretty sweet in terms of adjusting the deflection pattern. However, we have found that after relatively short use the gear starts making a grinding sound. We found that if we add a washer or two to the axle to take up the extra play and add a hose clamp to the spinner shaft just above the gear housing to take up that extra play fixed the problem. We also have installed a piece of plywood to the front of them so we can transport them standing up to save space in truck bed. Doing so protects the deflector shield from cracking and breaking. Extending the tube in the front past the deflector will be a welcome improvement.
Some led lights would be nice for spreading salt early morning when it is dark. We currently use a clamp style light for this purpose.

We own several of these spreaders and they are, by far, the best spreaders we have found over the last 32 years. While our crews have managed to find some weak spots, they were able to be repaired.
The deflector could be the best part of this spreader. It helps to spread the deicer more evenly while keeping it off the surrounding vegetation.

Great spreader for bagged ice melt and calcium . Takes some fine tuning and training on how to use it but once that’s completed , you’re good to go . I have two of these and my guys enjoy using them .
